You may have heard that kaya toast tastes best with a strong cup of coffee – and for good reason. I’ve taken this to the logical next step and am proud to present a new innovation – coffee kaya!
This is created using fellow Great Taste Award winner Derw Coffee’s Anglesey cold-brew coffee. This kaya tastes like a spreadable form of that childhood favourite sweet Kopiko – a bonus hit of nostalgia for those of us who remember it!
The shelf life of coffee kaya is approx. 8 weeks
Derw Coffee produces cold brew coffee and coffee liqueur in North Wales, and is run by Intan and Chris who we met when we were both exhibiting at the Guild of Fine Food’s Fine Food Show North 2021. One taste of their coffee and I just knew what I wanted to do next!
